Spent four days backpacking with Joey around the Escalante. Silver Falls Canyon, Harris Wash, Neon Canyon and Choprock Canyon. Three different canyons. SIlver Falls has the rugged blocky walls, Neon has the color and spectacular pouroff. Choprock has great narrows, great color, high walls. The Escalante canyon has the openness surrounded by high cliffs and vegetation. Great weather. All in all a great trip to an area I haven't been before. A few pics to look thru. Hopefuly Joey gets the vid done soon... :)

Day 1 saw 8.8 miles, the Hobbs Panel and exploring Harris Wash. Day 2 we hiked along the Escalante visited Neon canyon and a large art panel, for 9.4 miles. Day 3 we hiked up Choprock, explored some of the forks and camped after 7.7miles. Day 4 we hiked out and back around to the truck for 8.1 miles.... 34 miles of neat country...

Arrived in the dark, had a nice view of the Henry's at dusk.

Hey, you actually wrote a few paragraphs for this one. :) Nice pictures. I had a great trip, its been a pleasure getting to hike with you this year. I've already started writing up a similar report, so I will post my pictures there. Kirkhams can fix all my stuff, so don't worry about my pack. Looks like my van will be ready tomorrow, so I won't be back until April 21st. Looking forward to the next one.

The vertical stripes on those canyons walls look really cool. Looks like it was a great trip.

Joey, I want to see the vids. :) My pics actually turned out pretty good for no retouching I thought...
Had a great trip, weather couldn't have been better.

Yeah, your pictures are better than mine. Very nice. I like the one of me in the dark. I think I'm done making videos until Thanksgiving, unless I get hurt. No time.

Nice report and great pics Bob. I like it when you write some text.

Was water problematic?

No, water everywhere except the last 8 miles. Last night was a dry camp.

Nice pics, Bob. I like the one of the cut-outs above the pool of water in Neon Canyon. Did you say "Bigfoot"? I think you have a pic of him in this collection. I see he's growing a beard.....

Thanks for sharing

Guess I better get working on some kind of trip report of my own. I had a blast over the last 10 days in AZ and UT.

lol .........Post em up... :)
