What is your favorite hike in the Escalante/Hole in the rock road area other than these: Coyote gulch, peekaboo and spooky, lower calf creek, Neon or Death hollow? Headed down mid may and looking for something new.

Some favourites in your list above. Others that come to mind:

Broken Bow Arch-Willow Gulch.

Phipps Arch

Bighorn Canyon.
Either from HITRR, or from Old Sheffield Rd. which has good camping and is one access to Phipps Arch.

Upper Calf Creek.
More than just the falls- hiking down the creek or wandering the sandstone across the creek are both worthwhile.

I agree: Phipps, Bighorn, the little informally named Deer Canyon across from Phipps are three I loved.

I like slickrock so my favorites are:
1) slickrock escarpment east of Deer Creek between the Escalante River and the Burr Trail Road
2) Bowington - Cream Cellar Roads figure 8 loop
3) Bighorn Canyon already mentioned - but as a loop with Zebra Canyon

Buy Steve Allen's Canyoneering 3. That whole area is worth exploration.
