Leaving next week. 15 days. Loop hike, one car, no shuttle.

I got ideas already but looking for suggestions on segments, links and traverses.

Overall it could look like this: starting at the heads of Silver Falls/Choprock but going east up on the Fold, then cruise south to near George’s. As the packs get lighter we increase the difficulty and return on the Overland. But in between there is a week’s worth of time to explore maybe as far south as the Pollywog?

We’ve done Stevens 21 and 22 in that area

Giving you a heads-up that it was dry out there as of a month ago, and Escalante hasn't had any measurable precipitation since. Temps were also still on the warm side for the second half of Oct. Lower Silver Falls, for example, still had some shallow standing pools, but no flowing water. Pothole water was sporadic. Plan your route accordingly, and have a great trip!

Thanks, I was aware of that, but good to get another confirmation. A friend is out with a Steve Allen group in a nearby area currently so I'll get another data point soon.

We did two trips on the east side of the Escalante that you could potentially use pieces of for your route planning. They could easily be linked in several places on top of the Waterpocket. Trip reports with gpx files are found at: https://doingmiles.com/2023-04-utah/ and https://doingmiles.com/2019-04-waterpocket-fold/
If you have any specific questions about route details, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks! I used your beta for the Fold Canyon exit on a recent trip. The one that's downstream of the regular Allen one. Starts with trivial Moki steps to a surprise headwall. Pretty spicy
