Anyone ever ventured up to the handful of lakes on the west side of Buck Pasture? Kinda thinking about paying them a visit. A couple of them look like they could be big enough and deep enough to hold some good fish.

I wondered about them when planning my trip this summer, but that hill does not look fun to climb. You'd be guaranteed solitude.

The IDs for those lakes in that drainage are(Going South to North) Ejod = G-76, Dead Horse = G-77, G-80, G-79, G-78, G-81, and G-82. The lake you have the green arrow on is G-79. The only lake that has been stocked in the last 10yrs is Dead Horse Lake. If any of the unnamed lakes has fish in it they will most likely be native Cutties. Which would be a real treat :D.

Here is what I have. Click on the "Bear River Drainage" link for the PDF and then scroll to the last page with the map on it. They are on the far left of the page. Kind of hard to see. You have to zoom in.

According to the stocking records G-80 was stocked in 2009 and 2005 with a couple hundred Brookies in the 3" range. G-82 was stocked in 2010 and 2006 with a couple hundred Brookies in the 3" range.

So I *think* this is what each lake is. Look right?

G-80, G-79, G-78, and G-81 look right on your map. I think G-82 is where you have G-83 on your map. Where are you getting the G-83 from? I don't see it anywhere.

I made it up to all of these lakes 6-7 years ago. Can't say much for the fishing, I tried each one for about an hour or so each. Very little luck, not much room for backcasting either. Pretty rough climb to reach any of them from Buck Pasture, but once you're up there getting from one to the next wasn't too bad. You'll definitely be alone, which is always nice.
