Restocking towns in SE Utah

Hey all: What towns will I be able to get food/beer/gas between the North Wash, Cedar Mesa and up to The Needles? Is it best to have everything when I get into these parts? I will have enough for the North Wash event. Eventually I will get to Moab and they have everything but that will be at the end of the trip. Is Blanding pretty much it? Does it have a decent selection of food? Doesn't need to be fancy but better than a quickie mart type store. Anything before Cedar Mesa? I guess it might be prudent to fill up on gas before getting to the North Wash area, in Price??? What is the situation for water? Will I need enough to carry me to the ranger station in Canyonlands? It will be about 5 or 6 days before Canyonlands.

Thanks for any replies

Blanding has a small grocery store that should have everything you need.

You can fill up in Hanksville with gas before continuing on to the North Wash area. You can also get gas at Hite, which will be on your way from the North Wash area to Cedar Mesa.

As for water, I'm pretty sure you can fill up at Natural Bridges which is a short side trip from the highway on Cedar Mesa.

Charlie, you're flying into SLC, right? If you want to borrow anything like a backcountrypost-branded big 7 gal water jug, cooler, chair, etc, you are more than welcome to swing by my place on your way down. I have an abundance of these things. Then just drop it back on your way back to the airport. Not sure if that is worth the stop but could make restocking easier.

@ Randy, thanks . You answered all the important points.

Nick: Thanks. Yes I am flying in to SLC. How close to the airport are you? I actually have a midsize cooler that slides nicely into a large army duffel. I usually store a ton of crap in it, shove it into the duffel and I am good to go. My main concern with going to your home is timing . I land @ 6, need to stock up at a couple of stores then head south. Going to be a late night. Let me think about it.

I forgot: Where can I get supplies near the airport, food/beer(notice a trend) AND importantly fuel for my stove. Need a Jetboil type canister. I'm sure I can find a grocery store easily, an outdoor store might be more difficult.
