It was the last day of our Utah trip 2011, before we went back to LAS.
I stretched my bones on one of Kanab's campgrounds and read a local newspaper.
After a couple of pages of blah, blah a nice article about a little prehistoric site near Fredonia.
Cool, a nice little adventure for tomorrow.

From downtown of Fredonia heading north on US 89A. Turn right into Cowboy Dr and at his end - make a left turn. There is a old kiosk. Follow the dirt road for approx. 3 mi. You'll see a picknick area w/ firering.
After a couple of yards you've reached the 3rd picknick area and 'TH'. Lift up your eyes and you'll see the Clam Shell in the north.
The hike is easy w/ a little bit scrambling up.
Hiking and exploring the Clam Shell is a family fun.

Very awesome! That blah blah in the paper might have been about me! Just jokes...I'll have to go check these out. Next time you're in Kanab I can tell ya about a ton of other adventures like this one.
