Guess the spot

Okay I will venture a guess, maybe the Beartooths ... the Beartooth Absaroka Wilderness Area in Montana. Looking down on them from the north like say near the Lower Yellowstone River Valley somewheres.

Good for Scott, I really didn't want to win this one for too much work the next few days to deal with. Good for you Scott.

So the Wyoming Range.

Good observation on the flowers. I was wondering what they are while I was up there.

Haha cool. The view didn't remind me of other Wyoming Ranges that I'm more familiar with. I could have added about five question marks to my guess.

Lets see how fast I can hot potato with this one.

Scott, is this in Upper Grand Gulch. Might be in this area for the cliffs also look a little similar to those in Natural Bridges NM

At what point does Grand Gulch split from upper to lower?

Lol you're up! It is indeed Grand Gulch, near the government trail.

Scott, so I was right about Grand Gulch .... Interesting. It has been many a year since hiking there but those rocks cliffs were the same as in Naturral Bridges NM nearby. I was at Natural Bridges this past fall in October.

Now here is mine for now ... taken in late September ...

Cedar Mesa sandstone. It's my fave

Scott, now do think I have to get back to that Grand Gulch - Natural Bridges Area for awhile. For many a year for myself my favorite was the Escalante and the Wingate Sandstone. Now your pic was nice and brought back some memories.

Sort of looks like Soda Butte Creek, but far too large of a water. The scenery is similar, though.

Sorry that I have not been around today for had to work a bunch today.

Now MikeM and Bob Wire, sorry but both of you are wrong. It is not Soda Butte Creek or Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone.
But I will give a hint, it is though indeed in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
