You're correct (or very close) with the background but can you figure exactly where we're standing? (We're not on Smithsonian Butte if that's what you were guessing). Notice the parking area in the background...

Gooseberry Mesa? I am curious about dispersed camping up there as a matter of fact.

Gooseberry Mesa is correct! Great mountain biking up there with cool views.

Regarding camping...this is from utahmountainbiking.com:

"There's no water available on the mesa. There's a toilet at the fork in the road about a mile from the trailhead. Rough camping is allowed on the mesa (no formal campsites). Yurt camping is being developed on the north rim, click [ here ] for information."
