not a dramatic one....but interesting nonetheless.
low clouds over Bouldertown Utah as seen from the Homestead Overlook on Boulder Mountain. Sept. 9, 2013
this storm brought massive rains and a lot of flooding. it pretty much just stalled in that spot and never headed east.
it just slowly crept over the top of Boulder Mountain
this kind of a roll cloud was on top of the Circle Cliffs all the way down the entire length of Hole in the Rock Road.
It looked kind of cool. I've seen it once before, but never in the desert. Not sure how this phenomena is exactly called, maybe someone knows the answer
here is a quick snap shot taken from my place toward Snow Canyon and Pine Valley Mtns.
There was no time for a specific composition because the light was gone so fast.
It looked great with some lingering clouds at the base of the mountain
Really enjoying this thread, some terrific shots everyone! I was going through some photos from last year's spring Utah trip (heading back out in a couple of weeks) and came across a couple from the way home. They aren't in Utah, but a huge storm cell I hit on the way home in central Nebraska. After driving 15 mph through hail so hard I could barely see, I gave up and stopped in Kearney where I heard the Tornado sirens blowing as I hustled two panicked dogs into the motel room. The lightning shot is from my GoPro set on the dashboard of my Jeep and the second is of the storm taken near Gothenburg, NE.
