Here is my dog, Sampson. He is a mix, but part chow.

He is one courageous dog. He has stared down a moving train, only to jump off the tracks at the last moment, just playfully. He has literally been nose-to-nose with a giant mountain lion. They stared at each other for a full minute, then the lion bounded away. Sampson was protecting me, and would probably die for me.

He is happiest on the trail, and goes on walks with my family nearly every day. The love and connection you can have with a dog cannot really be put into words.

Ok. I don't currently have a dog. So I figured I wouldn't be posting anything on this thread but I ran across this video recently and I thought that you dog lovers that are frequently on this thread would like it - especially because it involves long distance hiking in Utah with a dog. So here it is. Hope you enjoy it. I did.
