Name? Breed?

Thats not a bad idea! Her name is Phoebe. Hard to tell breed (she is a rescue) but mom looks like a Husky Collie mix but small (about 30lbs) Not sure who dad is so going to be interesting to see what she looks like as she matures!

Nikita on the motor out from the Escalante last Monday. She's creeping up on 14 years and other than her happy dementia and arthritis, she's showing no sign of stopping. Our campsite had a strong population of crawfish and bluegill that stayed along the boat the whole trip and Nikita was in there trying to catch them the whole time. She's all wet in this photo because she was in trying to catch them while we packed up camp that morning. Keep keepin' on, old doggy.

She's 14 too. That was at the end of an 8.5 mile day and climbing 4,000' up a Class 3 peak.
Can you believe our endless summer ?!? High mountains and peak bagging in mid-October? WTH?
