Guess the spot

Well, I've never been there, but based on your very telling Boy Scounts hint, I'm going to guess this is along Henry's Fork (the Uintas one, not the Idaho one) at Elkhorn Crossing.

Also, does that mean you're yet to summit the highest point in our fair state? Or did you just take another approach?

Oh, that's why all the Boy Scouts have been there. I've been up Kings, but I came from the South.

IMO, Henrys Fork is one of the least interesting approaches to Kings. E Fork Blacks fork via Bald Mtn and Red Castle is where it's at.

That does indeed mean I have yet to get to Kings Peak. Haha. It's stayed on the back burner because I'm deterred by the crowds. I like Ben's idea of an approach from the south though. That way, I could skip the whole Henry's Fork thing. And I've never been on the south slope before .

I'd like to do the ridgewalk between Emmons and Kings someday. Early September might be prime time, one the threat of storms has passed for the season.

@Ben did you come from the SE, or the SW?

SW. Yellowstone. We did a loop of Swift and Yellowstone that included an extension up to Kings. There's a report some where on the site here, but I'm not going to bother hunting it down on my phone. It's the only trip I've done in the Unitas.

That cascade into the lake is pretty distinct.

And here's some thing a little different.
The bridge, and the view up the creek. Try to name the creek. The bridge doesn't have a name.
