Guess the spot

LarryBoy, Nope!

Jackson, Nope! And Jackson, if you go back a few pages, to page 260 ... for guess the spot, I posted a photo taken a few years ago of Enos Lake. Mentioning this since you said 'Enos Lake'.

But I will give another hint ... this is located in the Greater Yellowstone - Teton Ecosystem. And like I said, this is an older photo from several decades ago before things were digital. This was a scan from a favorite slide of mine, taken when visiting this place the several decades - years ago. It can be a nice dayhike over to this place. But for all the people who visit the Greater Yellowstone - Teton Ecosystem, this place is Not that often visited it seems to my knowledge.

No more guesses. Well, this morning before work will give a hint. This lake is only like a mile or so as the raven flies from the nearest main highway, but it seems as if not many people go there. Wishing Everyone the Best!

Now Outdoor Fool, No it is not Grebe or Wolf Lake in Yellowstone Park.

And LarryBoy, No it is not along the road going East out of West Yellowstone.

Boy, I sure didn't get that hint, though I'm not that familiar with YP. But I think it would be cool if we could extend YP on down into Arizona. Just take a strip about 300 miles wide all the way to Mexico, kick all the people out (which would include myself), and make it a national park.

Guess Outdoor Fool you're up. You are correct with following Absarokanut's hint.

Now that hint by Absarokanut gave it away, but he did not say Arizona Lake though so can't give it to him.

Yes this is Arizona Lake, right east of the main highway north to YNP. This lake is right on the boundary between Grand Teton NP and the Bridger Teton NF. The mountains in the distance is Wildcat Ridge in the Teton Wilderness which burned in the Yellowstone Fires of 1988. And again this was before those fires in 1988. Now a little ways north of Colter Bay along the highway, one passes on the right a pond which dries up in the summer. Here there is a place to park. Right after this pond, there is an old road (trail) that goes off into the woods on the right. One can follow this old road - trail to near the lake. then once near the lake, go thru the woods over to the lake. Have been here at various times in the past. It is a really nice place which one will probably have to themselves. Here nearby will be the road and how many people in the summer. But at this lake, you will have this place to your lonesome self most probably. At least this is my experience. Have seen various animal life and bird life here in the area in the past.

Wishing Everyone the Best!

Outdoor Fool, know exactly where this bridge is at and what creek this is. Have been here and camped many a time. But will not say and let you continue the game since I was just up. Also good to see you around here again after your few days absence.

I was half kidding, I know the area. Absarokanut advised me to go to the hot springs near there (over the river and through the woods) years ago. Some of the best Teton hikes I've ever done started a little further down that road.
