Guess the spot: Utah Edition

"The most known fork" hint throws me. I feel like maybe I have insider info on this? Can I put us in the area with a guess of E Fk. Virgin River? Only canyon with multiple forks in the area of vermillion cliffs I can think of.

Zero insider info with this one- nobody on BCP has any inside info about this specific canyon, that's why I chose it :)

Let's narrow it down. It's in the Kanab area. @John Morrow - you are right, one named fork, we were in the main canyon.
The official canyon trail takes people into the one named fork, but the trail quickly dead ends. We split off the official trail, then followed animal trails further upstream through the main canyon.

First guess, probably wrong, but are you on one of the sandy roads leaving Coral Pink Sand Dune Road- then northbound, like Elephant Cove Rd, Shunes Howl Rd or Esplin Spring Rd? Just throwing out the first that comes to mind.

No..but you're in the right region.

@zionsky , is that on the way to Kanab's Red Canyon aka Peekaboo?
Correct! The ranger in kanab gave me a roadmap of the area but no instructions. BLM 102 is the main "road" to peek-a-boo but the map showed a shortcut (BLM 102L) The photo is taken from the shortcut. DO NOT TAKE IT if you go! VERY VERY DEEP SAND. Stay on the main road, which can be dicey enough.
@SteveR You're up!

Trying to narrow it down: Think you are hiking off Burr Trail, parked at Deer creek TH and ventured into the slick rock area south of there, makes sense? Haven't nailed the exact spot down!

Titans - my guess also - just S & on E side of 6043 on the 6043 - 6167 slickrock block E of Deer Creek - but what I think is 6642 aka Boulder BM (center & 20% from top) has slickrock to its right that doesn't fit with my recollection. So I think I am guessing wrong

Mhhh, looks like you are looking toward the Aquarius plateau, more specifically the Escalante mountains, and you seem to be not too far from it.

And I just read the previous message about the "Slickrock Saddle" so I think you are somewhere between sand creek and death hollow on the bench? Maybe alongside the Bowington road?
