Guess the spot: Utah Edition

A bit further North.
The canyon may not be a hiking destination, but the head end of the canyon does see slow moving traffic, probably on a regular basis.

Is this the upper portion of N Cottonwood Creek? I can't quite tell the vantage of this photo but if you were up high on Cathedral Butte or something this might make sense

No. I'm not on Cathedral Butte, but you can see Cathedral Butte in the photo. A little left of center.

Cove Canyon is the closest one yet, but not Cove.
This canyon shares its name with another nearby named place on the map.

This looks to be the Green River just above the confluence with the Colorado...there is a trail on the map from the Maze District to this area but I'm not sure what the official overlook name is

Well I'll give it to you, close enough. It's in the maze district looking southwest down the Colorado just past the confluence. It doesn't have a name that I know of, but there are some carved names a few hundred feet out this ridge near this overlook for the 80s.

Either way! Your turn!!!

Nice I would have guessed that was the confluence in the distance but I guess it's just a bend in the river.

Finally got to a good spot to look down into this canyon in the lower part of this image from above last month (this feature also has a secondary name)

Holy cr*p, that is an amazing view. Now you have clenched it for me that I need to get up on the Kaiparowits Plateau and do the trek out to Bull Ridge. You're looking down into Navajo Valley or Twilight Canyon.

Every time I drive HITR, I love seeing the straight cliffs and Navajo Mountain. I tend to do my hiking in the summer, so getting up on the plateau would be a nice change in temp from all of the canyons down below.
Was there any good water up there or would I need to pack it all in?

You got it! I dm'd you about some of this info. As for water specifically we just did a long day hike so we didn't worry about that. I've read there isn't a lot of water up there but maybe after a wet winter like this year it would be better.
