Guess the spot: Utah Edition

I've convinced myself that it's Hunter Canyon, but I cannot get my views to line up.

Got the right ideas, one of you is on the correct side of the river and very close!
I was not the one who was on the correct side, nor close, but i've rectified that now.

I'm now REALLY convinced that it's Day Canyon, with Little Canyon off to the side and the mighty Colorado and UT-279 being obscured.

That must have been a fun side hike to get out to that view.

That's it! I never even knew of Day Canyon until I saw that view of it. It was a long day beyond the Amasa loop to get out there but it is a neat jumble of pertified dune slopes and domes. Well done @XID_AZ ! Amazing pinpoint of the photo location in GE, by the way.

Thanks, after troubleshooting and configuring servers and phone systems all day, this is what I do to relax.... If you can't get outside, get outside virtually at least.

Let's see who can guess where this shot was taken from.
Hint: It was taken near sunset.

no specific ideas but I associate this sort of banding with both the Book Cliffs area and Fiftymile Mountain

A 1.5 mile drive north from where the photo was taken, I found a makeshift camp spot and had this sunset view looking northwest. utah11b.png

Somewhere in the vicinity of the Lake Powell Hoodoos
If that's referring to either the Toadstool Hoodoos or the Wahweap Hoodoos, then still too far west, but getting closer.
Head a little east and a little further north from your recent guesses.

With the lack of guesses, it's like a haze of some sort has fallen over this tread. I think we need a mountaintop experience to get us going again.
