I couldn't stay up with you night owls last night.
It was easy enough to figure out that the lake is in Colorado .
The Sangre De Cristo Range has plenty of interesting topography but if I was looking for this lake I wouldn't spend my time there.

I was searching this morning, then I went for a walk, came back and in the mean time @Rockskipper has it figured out. Good job!
At least I was searching in the correct state this time, but I still have to step up my game!

It's a "SKY TERRAIN" map, a topographic trail map, which now really narrows it down. Clever question @Rockskipper
