Guess the spot: Maps Edition

It turns and goes more southernly eventually.

And Udink's post above has a good hint. Took me awhile to get it. It refers to the wash, or "draw" if you will, not the bigger river.

A hole bunch of hints here. :)

Drowned Hole Draw!

Full confession, I figured it was along the San Rafael so I just caltopoed it until I found it. Does that count?

Sure, I think about anything's legal when you're doing important stuff like this. @LarryBoy you're up.

I once spent several days Caltopoing Alaska for one of Ben's spots, only to find out it wasn't in Alaska. LOL

And I like that word.

Whatcha been doing all day?

Oh, you know, Caltopoing and stuff like that.

Seconded! I will say that random caltopo noodling has introduced me to a lot of cool places. Put together a really neat little route a while back in the...

...well, actually, we'll just use this as the spot. Guess it!

Thank so for the hint. White pine lake, Bear river mountains. I couldn't have remembered where they were off the top of my head, but names like Gog and Magog stick with you.

Mount Sanford and Mount Drum. What map is this? A Natgeo? Comparing it to the 7.5" really threw me off.

Weird. I opened Caltopo right to that but it looked different enough that I didn't guess it. Just a coincidence, but kind of an odd one.

Yeah, I initially looked at and disregarded this, before coming back to it and realizing that I was just grossly misinterpreting the scale. I was looking on caltopo as well.

I'll have to post one tomorrow when I get home, I'm out of town for tonight.

And it's the 1:100,000 scale map.
