Aw man I remember looking at this spot on a map before but can't remember where it is. Something tells me Idaho... E or SE of the Sawtooths? White Clouds maybe?

None of those. Are you thinking of the pioneers, which are ESE of the Sawtooths, and have a similar rise in the middle of a horseshoe of mountains?

This is an other one of those spots in Washington state, in attempt to broaden horizons, while also avoiding all the known spots in Utah and Wyoming.

Agh I knew I recognized it. That's Pilot Peak.

Climbed to within a couple hundred feet of the summit a few years ago. Got too late of a start and had to turn around as my buddy's recently-repaired ACL was giving him grief. That's a steep, scrubby hike. Terrific views though.
