Guess the Spot: International Edition

It was worth the wait to see this gorgeous photo. Canadian Rockies? Jasper NP?

the picture was taken from the border of Banff National Park.
the range, and the mountain, and the pass i'm crossing all share the same name on the CanMatrix maps.

Well, there's Mount Athabaska and also Athabaska Pass, all near the Columbia Icefield, which is on the border with Jasper NP. That glacier sure looks like a Columbia Icefield glacier. :)

If I guessed it right, someone else post a new spot as I'm on the road.

a lot closer now, but you've over shot from your last guess. the day i took this picture i hiked past a very popular lake in a park that is not Banff, down to the highway, crossed it, and hiked up to this pass.

no, but it does start with a 'B'

Aha - maybe, just maybe I've seen that one before. Lets see..... There's a climbers route between Lake Louise and Lake O'Hara (there's a hut just on the Yoho side, that you can rent from the Alpine Club). Abbott Pass. But no 'B' aruond there that I recall. Dang.... Doesn't quite look like the Eiffel route into Kaufmann creek either. There's a Bowlen peak route just south of Morraine....

NO - WAIT. That is Mount Ball, near Shadow Lake, yes? That is my final answer.
