Guess the Spot: Eastern US Edition

A flooded river. ROFL.
It looks like the Potomac River. Isn't that part of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Park?

Wow - you're good! My husband thought no one would be able to narrow this down. Yes, it's the Potomac at a particular spot in the C&O Canal park that's pretty well known to people who've lived in the DC area or gone to places other than the monuments when visiting. Want to try to name it?

I’ve never been there but I follow that park on Instagram since I have an interest in maybe riding the towpath some day. I have no idea what it is called though.

After checking Instagram again is it Great Falls? If I’m right I have no picture to upload so Janice can go again or Zionsky.

Yes! It is Great Falls. That photo was in early spring; later in the summer and fall the water level would be much lower and more rocks would be visible. We need some more people to join our little group, as my photo sources are limited, too! (Although I do have others I can post.) @zionsky, would you like to post? Or @kwc? Or someone else???

Nice pic - but I need some help! North (Adirondacks? Whites? Greens? ) or South (Shenandoah? Blue Ridge?) - hmm... I'm not seeing lakes (is that a river off in the distance?) so I'm thinking maybe it's south. (I picture more lakes further north.)

Hmm... I'm not succeeding in figuring this out. I've hiked Moosilauke and Grafton Notch but haven't made it to the Presidentials yet. I'm procrastinating on getting my school prep done for tomorrow and didn't find anything on google maps. :( Someone else will have to get this one!

It's close to one of those you mentioned
