No but nearbyIndiana Dunes?
Great that you've enjoyed these places, too. The dunes at Pictured Rocks are close to the eastern end - the big rocks are in the western part and the big beach area is in the middle.@Janice I lived in the midwest for a while, before I moved out west. So yes I have been to both Sleeping Bear Dunes and Pictured Rocks, although I don't recall seeing the area that you guys have posted for Pictured Rocks. I really love sand dunes, so where ever I go if there are dunes nearby I try to visit. Unfortunately I have not been back to the Eastern US much since the digital camera age began so I am not sure I have a photo to post. Let me take a look and see what I can find.
Warren Dunes State Park?No but nearby
Oh - just saw your second photo. Definitely Warren Dunes!Warren Dunes State Park?
My first time at Warren Dunes was almost 20 years ago on a hot summer afternoon. It was packed! The second time was several years later during spring break in March. We were there for a few days and it was completely deserted - the only footprints in the dunes were ours. My young sons got completely worn out going up and down and up and down! When I saw your first photo, I thought maybe it was Warren Dunes but wasn't sure. Then I found my own pictures and realized why it looked different. In March, there wasn't any green yet!You are correct @Janice. I was at Notre Dame for a chemistry educator conference so I hopped across the state line to visit Warren Dunes, a place I had been before and loved.
Excellent guessI'm guessing Maine but can't figure out anything more specific than that.
Your looking the wrong wayEagle Lake in Acadia National Park
I had a feeling it was Acadia. That's been on our list for years but for some reason we've never made it there. Hopefully sometime soon!Jordan Pond in Acadia
