Bag Night Challenge 2018

Good on ya Balzaa! Normally we require a nightly accounting with pics of your camp sites but we probably can give you a pass - even though this will put you firmly in the running :)
Must post a few more pics to be acceptable.[emoji23][emoji23]

Were there a lot of people in North Willow? I have been thinking of doing a family campout here and wondered if it is crowded on weekends.

It was pretty crowded. I arrived at 8PM on Saturday evening and got possibly one of the last open spots--I saw a couple of vehicles drive up the road and return 10 or 15 minutes later, presumably because everything farther up was taken. It was also pretty noisy. Kids riding dirt bikes and people shooting 22s. Luckily it quieted down after dark.

Sweet journey up to the Uintas to summit King's Peak for the holiday. The overnight for the drive back was neat for all the smoke blowing over from the Dollar Ridge Fire, on the other side of the mountains, and not the short other side way.

I've had two trips since my last posting here and need to update my numbers. I'm currently at 80 bag nights---these are Backpacking bag nights versus car camping or in-the-backyard bag nights---where little to no hiking is required.

In May I pulled a 20 day trip to Warrior's Passage trail in TN. Some pics---

Trip 190 (480)-L.jpg
The trip begins on Tellico River by Baby Falls.

Trip 190 (15)-L.jpg
My usual pack load with 20 days worth of food---and the pack around 90 lbs. The pack of choice is a Dan McHale---and awesome.

Trip 190 (88)-L.jpg
I find a dead copperhead on the Kirkland Creek trail and place him on a log for a better pic.

Trip 190 (230)-L.jpg
A great campsite on Bald River in the BR wilderness.

Trip 190 (251)-L.jpg
At the Bald River Cascades for a reststop.

Trip 190 (288)-L.jpg
Two backpackers I see on the BMT near Six Mile Gap---they are Monarch and Food Bank.

Trip 190 (438)-M.jpg
I finally make it to Wildcat Creek on the Warrior's Passage trail around Day 18.
