Double Digits! Forgot to take a pic of my new Warbonnet Blackbird hammock I slept in for the first time, so here's a pic from scouting out the final section from an off-trail route I hope to spend a night or two on in a month (if not, this fall).

Didn't have time. Turned around at the crack because my wife was waiting down at the tanks with our baby.

One nice thing about an exceptionally dry winter... cowboy camping with no dew/frost worries. I've set up my shelter maybe 3 times in the last month.

2 - Silver Reef in Dixie 4/6
3 - Escalante backpacking with @Nick, @neiloro and @Jen 4/19
2 - White Horse Mountains, eastern Nevada 5/4

Grilled eggplant w/mozzarella, basil, tomato and garlic, a nice Cabernet in one hand, dog throw stick in the other. A big bit of heaven. And there was a bag in the trailer so I am counting it! Looking for wild granite and white horses in the White Horse Mountains.

Actually, Rock, that trailer is perfectly level. You may not believe the effort that was put into leveling both the fore and aft direction but also the port to starboard position. I pride myself on this important part of the trailer positioning. Otherwise that one pesky drawer keeps rolling open and the frittata burns on the uphill side.

Must be the camera angle. I love the luxury and climate control of trailers, but hate pulling them. Yours looks pretty sweet. I may have to reconsider and get one, since I can't seem to save enough for a Tiger.

Funny how if you draw a line, that trailer is dead level even in the photo, but the slope plays tricks with the eyes.

No bike this trip! Too freaking wet every where. Drove from IF to Twin to see Balance Rock and Shoshone Falls. Left IF around midnight Friday/Saturday morning. Slept in back of 4runner in Rupert on some farm road. Hit Balance and Shoshone then down to Wells to see a ghost town Metropolis and met up with friends at 12 mile hot spring. Again slept in back of the 4runner. Headed to Utah to stop at REI..I know I said I wasn't going to shop there but I need new hiking shoes. Then stop see Mom and my wicked Step Mother.
