A storm rolled thru yesterday. There was some lightning.





Then some sun rays broke thru. There must have been some refraction going on because the sun was setting behind me while it looked like the sunbeams were dropping in from above.



A partial rainbow came into the picture.



Finally before heading in I caught a bit of lightning with just a bit of rainbow!

What is the reason for the long, narrow clearing?

@Glasterpiece - it’s just a long narrow swampy outlet of the Grizzle Ocean pond area, see maps. We were on a sketchy boardwalk across the long narrow section. I wonder if it changed over the years, the DEC map shows a wider almost t-shaped outlet. We don’t know the history of the area, but we are finding out more info every time we go.
