I assume you are talking about Little Cottonwood Canyon? Mother Nature!Sunset... back when they told us they would clear the road in about 1 1/2 hours
Had to pay for a room at The Cliff instead of sleeping on a couch or bench.
This was a minor slide compared to farther down.

Did you get the Windies done already? Off to Jellystone to meet Scat in the morning.Something similar went down on 6 over Soldier Summit. Enough to close the road this morning. We had to go on 89 etc back to Moab.

Thanks! I've lived in a few other places and with the exception of hurricanes, no other place has had the big violent storms that Nebraska seems to have pretty regularly. Indiana would also be in the border lands where hot humid air coming up from the Gulf meets the cold dry air coming down out of Canada that produces the big storms. They can be really impressive can't they?I love those shots, @Curt. Really incredible weather out there. I miss the quality and frequency of storms I had in Indiana.
This has been an unusual September. It's usually a hot dry month but this has has been more like May or June for size and frequency of thunderstorms.
Nice. The monsoon made a poor showing in Utah this year.
