it's busy on many of the trails, but I still find areas where I see noone

A massive wind event in early winter meant that roughly 3000 ( yes-you read that correctly-3000! ) trees have been cleared from trails to date in the foothills west of Calgary, by a mix of volunteer and parks personnel. As things dry out, access has improved to areas that were snowbound or affected by winter road closures. I took a ride into the mountains yesterday and removed about 24 from a 2 km stretch of a popular mountain bike trail. The trails don't look after themselves- give one near you some love!

Taken on a ridgeline ride yesterday, showing the scale of some of the wind damage where the trail ( right in front of me! ) vanishes into a wall of fallen trees that is roughly 100m wide.There is a rough detour in place, but this looks like something @scatman might enjoy
