It looks like there has been one sighting in Haywood County. We'll then maybe it was Bigfoot. It's funny you should bring up Bigfoot, because as we were driving up a steep, curvy Cove Mountain Road to get to Cataloochee, we passed a home that had a life sized Bigfoot carved out of wood (fairly imprssive I must say). I knew I should have stopped and taken a picture. I even asked my family why someone would have a carved Bigfoot when they don't live in NC. I wasn't up on your Haywood County sighting at that time obviously. While exploring the Little Cataloochee area, I ran across what I believe is an old trail that I will need to explore in the future. I'll get a shot of him when I return. I think Nick needs to create a Bigfoot emoji for this sight.
 
I absolutely DO NOT believe in Bigfoot. There is no scientific evidence. It's pure folklore...until I'm all alone at night in the wilds and I hear woodknocking and monkey chatter... :help:

I don't believe either. Though for some inexplicable reason I picked this up on the day we were supposed to raft the French Broad River. Unfortunately, the rafting trip was canceled due to flooding. This was before we ran into the carved one near Cataloochee. Coincidence? :cautious:

Probly just a coincidence, or maybe Bigfoot's messin' with ya. They've been known to do that, especially if you don't believe. They know, somehow.
