The cat in my photo above (Theo) was feral. You can barely make out where his left ear has been clipped, which is what the rescue groups do when they catch them so they know the cat's been fixed before they release them. But Theo was so friendly the rescue place took him in for adoption, and a friend adopted him. Like a lot of us here, he hates being indoors, so my friend lets him roam during the day (it's a very safe area with no traffic) but he goes in at night. He came from a rescue in eastern Colorado (we're on the other side of the state).

I stayed with the friend who adopted Theo for a few weeks once and got to know the cat well, then I ended up renting a place a few blocks away. I don't know how, but Theo figured out where I live and sometimes comes over for Fancy Feast, then I take him home and put him inside. He comes and sits by my patio door until the dogs notice him, then comes inside just long enough to eat. He's getting rather portly, eating at both places. :)
