Rei boxes ?

Well … we do store our two canoes in our basement during the winter months. sub freezing temps that we experience in winter aren’t friendly to their Kevlar hulls. And we do live on a hill so no worries about floods!

Now you bring rationality into the discussion, come on, canoes in basements with crampons. :)

Do you keep those in the basement too? In case it floods?

Why as a matter of fact, I do.

A little over four weeks ago, we had a pipe in our ceiling downstairs start leaking while we were asleep. It flooded four rooms downstairs and ruined the drywall and the ceilings. I'm still waiting for the contractor to come and repair what they tore out. Also, I had the entire house re-piped. What a mess, especially on two crutches! Good thing I had those canoes handy. :D

Happy Turkey Day all fellow BCPers! I hope that all of you are either stuffing your faces, or out hiking/backpacking.

Normally, I am hiking up Ensign Peak on Thanksgiving morning, but not this year. :( So instead, it was time to clean out the gutters and hang X-Moose lights before the snow flies, which isn't an easy thing to do on one knee. But at least I got to ditch my crutches this week!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

And down to the dirty work. :)

Happy Thanksgiving. I have decided to expand my POV a little this year so I got some Fancy Feast and I’m sharing that with a neighbor. He/she is very appreciative and we will both go take a nap when dinner is over.
