Hmmm. It appears an introduction is in order. BCP, I'd like you to meet my brother-in-law Patrick, apparently aka @CajunPoncho .

I invited him to Yellowstone this year to experience the backcountry with the Scatman. I was a little worried that he would be in over his head, but he held his own and added some entertainment to the trip. There will be stories of meadows, burritos, and questionable footwear. . . but you'll have to read more about that later. ;)

In the mean time here is Patrick. . . when he still had a beard.

Several rainy days into the trip we started calling him Poncho. I mean, how could we not? It was either that or blueberry. :)

Nice horse trail. .

Nice ..... I like it, can stay out of the brush on it

Love the tall grasses. As for Bam Bam, don't you usually carry a couple of steaks to ward off/divert such critters?

I had to go light yesterday in order to make good time, so no steaks, lambchops, prime rib, or side of beef on this one. :) What is standard procedure when not carrying previously mentioned distraction tactics?

You're also supposed to carry a small stove to grill the goods on so the Bam Bams can tell you mean business from the wafting odors.

Why can't I ever remember this? Maybe if I had a hinny to carry it all for me. Or should I be the one carrying the load to teach me some kind of life lesson(s)?
