I was thinking about that last weekend, how you guys were probably getting absolutely perfect conditions. Seems like weather like that is a real rarity for early October in the GYE.

Honestly was pretty decent when we went a few years ago too. Just 15-20 degrees colder plus a little old snow on the ground!

True. We did have good weather on our trip, just colder. And the sun sinking down behind Whetstone Mountain around 5-ish didn't help. :) It got cold in a hurry! We had sun until about 7:00 pm on Pacific Creek.

Here is something you don't see often - Scatman in a professional setting. :D Taken just before the taco bar today.

Extra credit for those who can guess the images on my monitors.

To bad ........... feel sorry. My work setting has always been outside. 15 years forest service, 20 years mail carrier......

At least the pics on the computer screens are nice

Somewhere between 2.5 and 5 years and I'm done.

You should know one of those images on my monitors by the way. :)

That is quite the tidy workspace Hugh.

Is that one of the islands in the once Great Salt Lake you hiked to earlier this year on the left?

Here I imagined you'd have something like this on one of those monitors. The expression on your face is priceless. Now that I think about it, this may be a moment you are trying to forget. :)

If I recall correctly, and that is a big if, I was contemplating how many heartbeats I had left in my lifetime, and how many of those precious beats were going to be used up on our exit to the Pelican Valley Trailhead. :D

Nice workspace.I would die for those monitors. Mine's a 13" laptop. But I'm like Bob, I prefer working outdoors. Or better yet, not working at all. (That's why I can't afford a nice monitor.)

But the real question here is: Do you go to work in a kilt?

No, no kilt at work. Maybe on my last day? :)

I forgot to answer your question earlier. Yes, that is Fremont Island, if you can still call it an island anymore. :)
