I did it again!!
Mount Saint Helens was amazing like always but kicked my butt with the vertical beach of sand and ash to the top

No grapefruits? And is that carrot symbolic of something? And do I see an actual Scatster smile? No, can't be...

No symbology. It was time to start cutting up the veggies for dinner.

No smile to speak of. :)

Homemade boat races on Hayden Fork. If you look closely, you can see the two babies that ended up on my chest somehow.

And Katie finished in first place! Just goes to show you what an education from Lewis & Clark will do for you! :D

I definitely had to earn my views on my last two hikes

Upper Crystal Lake, Mount Rainier, 2200 ft. elevation gain and 3.5 miles one-way
I definitely needed to cool down in the lake after the climb

Shriner Peak Fire Lookout, Mount Rainier NP
3200 ft. elevation gain and 4.3 miles one-way

I'm slowly getting ready for my Enchantments backpacking trip in October. Fingers crossed my Patella tendon tear holds up until then

This was the train that was supposed to relieve everyone of my antics in the future. Unfortunately, once it got to the crossing, instead of crossing it backed up, never to be seen again. I guess you'll just have to put up with me for another year! :D

Maybe next time. :)

Oh Noooooo!!!! We have to put up with you for how much longer!!!! Oh Nooooo!!

We All Love You Scatman, Hope you are around here for years to come and Wish You the Very Best!!!!

Well, since turning 58, I think I might be getting lazy. I was supposed to go up Mount Olympus this morning, but after not getting any sleep due to the record breaking heat here in Salt Lake, I just went for a two hour walk instead to get some exercise. :(

I'm also packing up for the Grizzly Lake Trip that starts on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to some cooler temps in Yellowstone. What weather forecast have you got for me @Rockskipper? Don't sugar coat it. :) Are you still giving them hell up in Driggs?

Looks like it was still a nice way to spend part of the day. I'm getting really tired of this recent heat wave though!

I just spent 2 nights (and 3 hot days) in the park. Nights were pleasant though, maybe even down to low 40s or high 30s last night. Looks like you've got a good cool down coming for your trip after the first day! Just got pretty smoky today as well, so let's hope it blows the smoke outta here too!

Smoke is one thing that we haven't had this summer. I guess I should be thankful for that.

I got smoked out of Driggs and headed back to Colorado. It’s a little smoky here but nothing like up there. As for the weather, no rain, no rain, and then rain. Be prepared.

58 ..... No wonder I have a hard time staying with you on a hike
