After dealing with a respiratory infection for all of February, it was nice to get out and hike again, albeit a very short one. On top of the South Avenues Twin Peak this morning.

@scatman ... did you bring wire cutters with you? or did you climb over the barbed wire to get up that tower? and that tower photo comes awfully close to one of those "up kilt" shots.
Nice to see that you're able to hike in a short-sleeved shirt ... not quite there yet in upstate NY at the moment ... in fact it's Monday morning, April 2nd, and it's snowing.

No wire cutters needed. The door is just outside the shot, to the left.

- finally pulled the trigger for the next generation tow vehicle in order to tow Beck's next generation RV. Full-timing (RV'ing) here we come! Vehicle details in the vehicles thread soon. I may feel silly on the way to a backcountry trailhead with my ultralight backpack riding in the back. Nah, I won't....

In a way, it's an ultralight truck too! All that aluminum with all those ponies makes for a sweet ride!

No way in hellacious! We traded my RAV4 Hybrid. No way we are letting Beck's 4Runner Trail Edition go. Best on and off road truck I have ever driven....

I have to admit though, this one can out-tow the 4Runner and RAV4 put together and after two weeks in the saddle it makes the 4Runner feel, well, unsophisticated.
