The Before/After thread

Playing by the OP's rules... I plan to go to Wyoming's Bighorns and go into the Cloud Peak Wilderness. I hope to put up my tent at a pretty place, make some coffee, and then sit and enjoy it and the scenery and wildflowers.

I think it was Joey who said he wasn't doing some hike because the shuttle costs were too high. If you're talking about the Yellowstone area, PM me. It depends on dates and availablility, mostly, but I might be able to help.

Hey thanks. Are you in the Yellowstone area? I'm not doing that trip primarily because I can't afford paying anyone to help me right now. But its possible through the summer and fall I could use help with a future shuttle. If your in the area I'll keep that in mind and may send you a pm down the line to see your availability. I have no problem paying good money for help like that.

I live 75 miles away, and while I wasn't sure exactly where you would want to go, I'm always looking for a good excuse to go to Yellowstone. Give me a whistle. It sort of sounded like you were going from the Old Faithful area down to maybe the Tetons? Maybe I misunderstood, but let me know. I'll do what I can.

So I just looked at the other post, which indicated you would be going down to the Tetons from Old Faithful, so I assume you'd need a ride back? That's no problem and I don't need money. Now, we might have to stop if we see a bear or a moose, to get pictures, but that's very doable. We just need to schedule it.

Hey thanks! If I had known that a few weeks ago I would have tried to set something up. And I definitely would have paid you or it. I've shuffled my plans, and there isn't any open spots to fit that trip in now unless I do it in October, which I might. But I may wait until next year. The draw to doing that trip early was all the high water down in the Bechler I would have to cross, which would make it exciting to video tape.
Thanks again for the offer!

I'm heading out now to one of my favorite spots in Yellowstone on the little firehole meadows, campsite OD2. Then tomorrow I'm hiking north towards the Sentineal Meadows, and hopefully running into that @scatman fellow. If he shows. :)

Before: move my into my apartment finally Saturday, woohoo! Sunday day hike to Horse Thief falls to pancake rocks. Reports say 7.8 miles starting at 9,780ft. Trying to get out in the elevation and on trails every weekend to develop my legs and lungs.

Well no hike this weekend, I decided it was more important to unpacked and organized in my new place.

I did get a short run in on the trail behind my new place.

Joey, October might work, but I would likely only be available on weekends.

I have a picture from my weekend in the Cloud Peak Wilderness, but no server to post the picture to. :-(

The Tushars blew me away. Exceeded expectations. Pictures aren't great (sorry, you can have your money back), but it was a terrific trip.

I was going to say...Isn't Delano down in that neck of the woods? Then I just noticed your route went right over it! Awesome! I've been wanting to get up there myself.

If I did it again I'd head into the northern part of the range - looks cooler than the Delano area. Delano was pretty cool, but Belknap and the other big one up north look super rad.

Hey that @scatman fellow showed up! Last I saw him he was heading off trail to the Buffalo Meadows with his daughter. Still haven't heard if they made it.
