Survivorman in Utah

You'll pay (feed) ME to watch this bloke? This is starting to sound better and better  I will PM you later.

Hey I have Amazon Prime trial right now. Cool saved getting a free dinner. Oh, wait....

I can't seem to identify in the thread where you say what episode we are talking about.

Best thread I've read in a long time. It's like the best game of "guess the spot", with the rules changing halfway through. :)

We're planning on putting together some fancy-dancy presentation of everything we found because there was just so much. In the meantime, it's made us question how legit Survivorman really is. Which is crappy, because we're both fans of Survivorman.

Wow, that does not sound good at all. :( I will look forward to your collaborated presentation. I am assuming you haven't heard anything from Les by e-mail @Nick?

Oh yeah.... it was ugly out there. After seeing the proximity of everything and comparing it to all of Les' own explanations throughout the show, it's just hard to believe that this was a one time event. :( Oh, and as much as Les touts leave-no-trace, there was a whole lot of trace left. No response from them but I'm going to try a couple other methods to get through this week.

And I didn't really mean to say that we're questioning whether he's legit, or not, before we've presented the evidence. I think what we've decided to do is basically present the facts that we found and then ask a question like: "Is this acceptable for television, or do you expect something different from a show like this?"

"Is this acceptable for television, or do you expect something different from a show like this?"

Without seeing the evidence, without even caring about the evidence, or caring about this show, or any other, I can answer that question.

I expect EVERYTHING on TV to be BULLSHIT. Period.

So, truly, I'm not disappointed. Not surprised. It's to be universally expected.

I'm way too trusting...I really don't expect to be blatantly lied to by a show like this.

Let's not go that far! Santa doesn't deserve to get dragged in to this...

I guess I'm just cynical. But I honestly do, fully expect to be blatantly lied to, mislead, deceived, leg pissed on and told it's raining etc. by TV shows. But ESPECIALLY the "reality" genre. Which, frankly, I can't stand to watch any of it. I was only able to take 10 minutes of Duck Dynasty. After 10 minutes of seeing the actual show, then taking note of how heavy the show is in pop culture influence, I felt like weeping for our country. How can so many people stomach a regular diet of that bullshit?

Sadly, the TV is bullshit mantra includes the majority of what is presented as "news" on TV too. Indeed, I think TV News are among the most prolific of all purveyors of bullshit. The news is a veritable font of bullshit.
