And one after sunset at Fire Wave, Valley of Fire S.P.
I hope to get similar conditions in March, a great shot :twothumbs:
Looks like an amazing area and I'm getting a little bit excited
The Synnatchkes, excellent German landscape photographers, sell an e-guide (pdf) for Valley of Fire that has GPS coordinates of some of the more hard-to-find places. If you time is limited, you might consider buying it. Just sayin' ...

I just wish there were more clouds! That's what both of my trips were severely lacking
Wow, that's beautiful! The kind of thing that you hope to see and capture only rarely.Sunset in Salt Creek Canyon, taken with my Canon S95
it was such a sick day with storm, hail, thunder, heavy rain, but finally at the end of the day the clouds gave way for a few minutes.
I had to desaturate that shot a lot, because the colors my camera captured that day were too intense
How do you get those amazing shots? Do you have people on speed-dial for when a great sunset happens? Fantastic!
