Album Sunsets

I haven't done too many good sunrise or sunset photos but here is one from Horseshoe Bend last January:

I hope to get similar conditions in March, a great shot :twothumbs:
Looks like an amazing area and I'm getting a little bit excited

I just wish there were more clouds! That's what both of my trips were severely lacking :)

The Synnatchkes, excellent German landscape photographers, sell an e-guide (pdf) for Valley of Fire that has GPS coordinates of some of the more hard-to-find places. If you time is limited, you might consider buying it. Just sayin' ...

I know, 'cause I know them, at least online ;)

you should travel with me, than you'll never complain again about the lack of clouds. :D
I attract clouds like a magnet and more than once I got really dramatic shots.
But be aware, I also attract severe weather....

Sunset in Salt Creek Canyon, taken with my Canon S95

it was such a sick day with storm, hail, thunder, heavy rain, but finally at the end of the day the clouds gave way for a few minutes.
I had to desaturate that shot a lot, because the colors my camera captured that day were too intense
Wow, that's beautiful! The kind of thing that you hope to see and capture only rarely.
