Album Summit Shots

Some absolutely incredible photography here. Congratulations to all of you. I have been recovering from an ankle injury for far too long but a college buddy that lives in Durango came up 3 weeks ago and I suffered up Mt. Sublette again. Just some snapshots.

Not the summit but a little knoll on the great ridge/plateau walk in the middle of this great 6 mile loop.

Did you go up the southwest ridge?

Nah I went down into Yankee Boy and up the Lavender Col. Being my first 14'er and one of the tougher summits I've done yet the standard route sounded nicer to me. My inner mountain goat is still sleeping in its shed.

August 2017 I had the pleasure of hitting four beautiful fourteeners from Chicago Basin in the beautiful Weminuche Wilderness area of Colorado.

This is Eolus and its beautiful catwalk taken from North Eolus.

Took yesterday off to try and bag some 14ers before things get too hairy. There's a route to summit four of them in one day known as DeCaLiBron (Mt Democrat, Mt Cameron, Mt Lincoln, Mt Bross) which we wanted to do, but apparently there is currently no legal access to Bross so we did DeCaLi... Found out later my hiking partner and I are the only two people to pay attention to the no-access sign, so I guess we'll have to go back and snag Bross some other day.

This is Mt Democrat as seen from Mt Cameron.
