FrostyNoseHill - Steve Riggs
Low clouds, light snow and calm winds over the course of several days presented an opportunity for a frozen finger photography walk on the morning of January 29, as the sun came out in the aspen groves at the top of Nose Hill.steveriggs.smugmug.com
12/21/20 - Took these on a quick winter solstice jaunt up Four Mile Trail in Yosemite. With an alpine start, I made it out of the Bay Area, up the trail, and back home in time for dinner. The trail was all but deserted which is unheard of these days in Yosemite (and which was a total delight). View attachment 96271
hard to take a bad photo there...but that last one of HD is exceptional. Thanks for sharing!12/21/20 - Took these on a quick winter solstice jaunt up Four Mile Trail in Yosemite. I just drool at where you call home...if there weren't a border I'd have already moved there.Last week, isolating with a small group of friends at Campbell Icefield.

Back home this week to stellar xc conditions locally:

That pesky border! Seems like no hope for a mid-late April desert trip for us. Fingers crossed for October. In fact, we would love to spend 2-3 months of winter in the desert sometime. The grass is always greener...I just drool at where you call home...if there weren't a border I'd have already moved there.
That reminds me so much of my friend's neighbors field in Dummerston, VT around Christmas Time. Sadly could not get a holiday visit in 2020 because of the plague. Thanks @kwc, brings back fond memories.
