straight on view of the aqueduct ... the raised grassy part on the right was the tow path for the horses/oxen that pulled the barges up & down the canal

One of the last days of fishing for the year that won't involve drilling a hole in the lake...

Ice skims starting to form on small waters here already. Have not yet tried ice fishing, but there is one small stream a bit of a drive away from me that is stocked with trout and stays ice free all winter, which is actually the best time to fish it (less vegetation to deal with along the stream). Look forward to winter fishing that creek.

Yeah for river fishing it’s a short drive to the Platte behind me. Tailwater, fishable year round, gold medal trout area. PM me if you fly fish and ever want to kill a day or two. Not sure how far away in NB you are.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the offer. Keep thinking I'll make another short trip to CO sometime, but haven't gotten it done yet. I do fly fish, almost exclusively these days. Unfortunately I'm about as far from CO as you can get in NE, but I do get over there once in a while. (10hrs to Denver from here)

Not Backcountry but Backyard deer pics instead. That is my asparagus patch grown out at the left in the first pic. :)

There is always a small group that hangs out near my house this time of year. . . probably because the guys in orange vests don't!

The power of a river ... Aluminum boat wrapped around a bridge support along the Sacandaga River ... Probably happened during the October 31st storm that dumped 5+ inches of rain in this area.
