Nope, wrong direction. Really close to Jenny L and Jackson L.

Not lost in Denali, actually had a work day out in the "field" AKA the Alaska Hwy, checking on a peregrine nest site.

I can't reply because I'm in the Tetons looking for this dang lake and have no cell service. Mosquitoes and tourists everywhere. A few nice flowers, though. Saw an osprey.

What I don't understand about that photo is why you can see through the near willow branches. It was taken with a telephoto and isn't HDR. Spooky bushes.

Yes, @Rockskipper that is what I meant. I think this picture is taken somewhere in Nebraska and you are trying to throw us off the trail by saying it is near Leigh Lake. Nice try, but I am on to your hijinks.

Maybe that's your superpower, making your camera see through things. I'll bet the Pentagon will be interested to hear of this.

I always wondered until I read that it was Fred Clark, a member of Ferdinand Hayden’s geological survey of 1872.
