Awesome! Your hint about Arizona rung a bell, because I had been looking at Arizona mountains a few months ago. This range looks very beautiful!

It is a very interesting range and it has amazing geology with strange, strange colors. The Refuge is also home to some of biggest patches of teddybear cholla cactus I have ever seen - a very "unfriendly" place for doggies. I am amazed the coyotes travel it routinely - in the dark.
