Not so wild a guess! Pretty close, but wrong Plateau. Here is a WAG, Dennis. Taken from the Wasatch Plateau on the southern end of the Skyline Drive.
Art's guess was a little closer (and the elevation of his guess was much closer).capitol Reef NP, Hickman Bridge trail
Well, I am out of my element in that section of Fish Lake National Forest so I will make this last WAG - the range southwest of there where Manning Meadows reservoir is? Southwest of the Wasatch Plateau and I70?Not so wild a guess! Pretty close, but wrong Plateau.
You're pretty dang close--that range is the one visible in the distance. Koosharem Reservoir is the lake visible in the valley. The photo was taken from Fish Lake Hightop, the highest point in Sevier County. Hmmm. That actually looks kind of familiar. I'll start with a WAG: eastern sierras, KIngs Canyon NP, looking east toward Owens valley, maybe from (or jst beyond) Kearsarge pinnacles area. I haven't upped & overed the east end to the eastside THs there.
Your macro location is correct Langdon. I am looking for the peak name please. You are too far north in the mountain range though. The Sierra granite is distinctive, isn't it?Hmmm. Although I'm doubting whether I'm even in the right state.....

No that is even farther north than the Kearsarge Pinnacles. But it IS another famous climbing feature. That right hand, curving arete is a siren song to an alpine rock climber. Is that the (in)famous Hulk?
