I was going to take an educated guess based on looking up all the JW inscriptions and say Forbidding Canyon but the hint @Nick gave is making me want to switch my guess to Grotto canyon? No idea, never been there!

Way too warm. 40s and raining on the way in. Snow was saturated. Probably teens at night. Much warmer than Shoshone where it was below zero.

Looks like a dirt mound northeast of the Henry's to me but I get the sense that this is more of a "spot" than that...

Good guess. Yes, this is more than a spot. It even has a BLM sign. The entrada on the lower right should help.
