Yep! @Opi wins, assuming that was your auto correct that changed Kings to Kerns in your post. @Bob was right about the original name though.

Kings Canyon National Park was originally called General Grant National Park. The tree is named after General Sherman.

The photo is Paradise Valley on the hike up to the Rae Lakes area of Kings Canyon.
