No, but I can see the resemblance. Both this place and Willow Springs Wash have similar Cretaceous rock layers.

I had this thread in mind when I took the photos, so tomorrow I'll post a wider shot that's likely to give it away. A hint: the rock formation in the photo is named on the USGS topo.

Hmmm...Cretaceous, named on topo...Cedar Mountain?

Oops, by "rock formation" I was referring to the the small pillar of rock, not the larger geologic layer (I can see how it was interpreted that way though).

Here's a wider view, should be a dead giveaway. Viewed from a different angle, the name of the rock formation makes a lot more sense. :)
