Well, that points at Crescent Butte, but it looked to me that the photo didn't seem that high. Only other towns are Thompson and Cisco, and they don't usually need quotation marks, even though I believe they've both been disincorporated by the state.

You’ve been really close with last couple guesses and any other clues give it away so we can call it close enough. You’re up. Correct answer is Cisco Mesa.
 
This game has been dormant a while so I suppose I could start with an obvious trail that we all enjoy.

Not far back in the Map thread we had 'The Crawl' as I like to call it, on Allen's Dark Canyon route. This passage is similar. Not as low, but with more than one tricky spot on a long Wingate ledge. What does Allen call it?

First quick thought was may have been Hellroaring to Yellow Comet but it's not in a "Allen" area...probably too "frontcountry" for your liking too!
