Guess the spot: Utah Edition

will throw out Lower Muley Twist to get things going, though I don't imagine that's correct...

I'd guess Silver Falls Creek canyon, but that seems closer to Choprock than Lower Muley Twist, so that's probably not it. The streaking is similar to what I recall, but I don't remember seeing the type of rocks in the foreground.

A clue? This is a fairly popular excursion by all accounts, but I'm guessing that many have their heads down in autopilot mode by the time they get to this particular spot in the final few km of the hike.

OK, so I'll give a guess of either Little Death Hollow or Wolverine, just not the narrow sections.

Nope, that's not it @XID_AZ
I'll add to my clue by saying that this is on the "stick" part of what we mountain bikers refer to as a "lollipop loop". So it's done both starting and finishing as access to a loop hike.

OK so with that clue combined with @regehr suggestion that started the guessing, it's Upper Muley Twist.

I'm surprised that no one has ventured a guess. It sure was a swell place to stop and enjoy some lunch.

Ok so I think you may be up near the Wedge Overlook. I don't know the name of that side canyon, but I think it's at 39.083187, -110.759269 and I camped right near the mouth of it once, mistakenly thinking I was at Virgin Spring Canyon. Maybe that's completely the wrong spot in the Swell but it sure looks like it based on my memory.

This may be stupid, but let's see if anyone can recognize where this interesting bit of rock art is located. Pretty well known area as a far as rock art.
