Guess the spot: Utah Edition

A picture with a story!

After hiking/scrambling on this trail for more than 3 hours we noticed a horrible smell.
Shortly after we passed a small canyon and thought that something rotting on the bottom must be the cause.
Than a bit further, just around the corner we discovered the real reason, a dead cow, already blown up, was causing the extremely unpleasant smell.
The other cow was so skinny and weak that in this heat, without water and food, she wouldn't have much time left.
Upon return we reported this to a ranger who also wondered how these cows could have reached this remote place.
More than a year later we found a picture of the same spot on a German internetsite, these hikers wondered how that skeleton could have got there.

What is the name of this trail?

Teepees area? Never been there and not sure if allotments are permitted so close to a prime hiking area. At first I thought maybe Bighorn, but the stone is sooo red in the photo.

It's Teepees area. I's a loop hike with shuttle
Sorry, i realize now this hike starts in Arizona and finishes in Utah, so it's borderline Utah.

They should have placed the border just a bit more South, this beautiful scenery feels more like Utah.!
The cows and the bad smell were just in Arizona! My wrong!
@John Morrow guessed only a mile away so i give it to John!
